See below

Responses from Robert Goodwill MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport

Two responses were received, one via Alison McGovern MP, and one via Esther McVey MP:

Download the responses from here.

We were disappointed by the comment that the UK "already has some of the safest roads in the world", when fear of injury stops many people from cycling, and from allowing their children to walk to school unaccompanied.

The responses refer to the DfT's Strategic framework for road safety. This webpage is headed "Our approach to continuing to reduce killed and seriously injured casualties on Britain's roads" despite the steady increase in cyclist KSI casualties since 2004 .

We are drafting a reply.
